How to cope with travel sickness?

Why does travel sickness appear? Mainly because we are accustomed to move on a fixed surface. When the rocking begins, whether it is on the board of a ship, in an aircraft or in a bus, the body seeks to match the Earth's axis, and our vestibular apparatus is unable to cope with it. As a result, our brain receives incorrect information about the posture of the body, and therefore gives a very negative reaction: nausea, vomiting, circles before the eyes.

Here are some tips to help you to cope with this problem both on the boat, and in the plane.

Do not think about rocking and if someone starts to feel sick, don't try his position on yourself.

Try to avoid unpleasant smells - they can trigger the beginning of sickness. Always take a handkerchief wetted in toilet water with a pleasant smell with you.

Night flight or sailing is easier to cope with than during the day. Choose night flights.

Don't eat much; it can lead to well-known consequences.

Despite a widespread view, alcohol does not help in this situation.

Try to sleep well before you start.

Try to move less, in extreme cases do it smoothly.

Don't read on the road, but if you can't but read, try to take the most comfortable posture.

Focus your mind on something fixed. This will help you to restore balance to your vestibular apparatus.
